WHAT IS A WATERSHED PLAN

A watershed plan is a strategy and plan designed to assess and manage information pertinent to a body of water designated as a watershed. The planning process uses a series of iterative steps designed to characterize the existing conditions, identify and prioritize problems / pollution sources, define management objectives / corrective action and provide a framework for tracking actionable tasks while quantifiably measuring progress.

The plan is a necessary for the organization of the community associated with / utilizing and supporting the watershed and an essential step in securing government funding.
